Southern California Fun Run

For years..and I do mean years, Steven Neill has been wanting to have a get together of model submarine builders and their boats in southern California. 

Finally, Jeff Porteous (from the Sub Committee forum, "jefftytoo")  took up the effort and a date was set. Saturday. April 12th, 2014. The place was to be Yorba Linda Park. The time, 8:30am.

As we all stare out on to the lake, passerby's wonder what we are doing. Some may think we're all nuts. But we know. We understand the effort required for this to happen. Then it shows itself. There it is. But yet only we who know see the miracle that is happening.

Sorry but my boat did not make it to the water. Last weeks sinking during trimming left me with no rudder control. This was so disappointing that I have decided to take all the equipment out of the cylinder and go through every bit of it, one piece at a time until this boat is operational again. Being the only boat not put in the water made me feel like the third person on a date and I got to wait in the car.
